Lilly Graduate Fellows Program Eligibility




 
  To be eligible for the Lilly Graduate Fellowship, nominees must intend to enter a Ph.D., M.F.A., D.M.A., Th.D., or equivalent program the school of their choice in fall, 2014, that will lead to a teaching career in humanities or the arts within the academy.

Nominees must want to engage modes of Christian practice and inquiry in the context of the academy and their academic disciplines and demonstrate an interest in teaching at a church-related school. 
In addition, nominees must meet the following eligibility requirements:
  • Nominees must have earned or be in the process of earning a baccalaureate degree from a LFP network institution.

  • Eligibility is open to seniors graduating during 2013/2014 academic year, or to anyone having received a baccalaureate from a network institution after April, 2009.

  • Nominees must be U.S. Citizens.

  • In order to receive this Fellowship, nominees must have been accepted into a Ph.D., M.F.A., Th.D., or equivalent program by June 1, 2014.  The school must be located in North America.

  • Eligible disciplines are: art; art history; creative writing; history; interdisciplinary studies; languages and literature; music; music history; philosophy; religion; rhetoric; theater history; theater arts, and theology.

  • Finalists must attend an Interview Conference on April 4-5, 2014 (overseas applicants please contact us). Fellows must attend an Inaugural Conference on July 28-July 31, 2014. The LGFP will cover all expenses for these events.
