Introducing the Lilly Network’s New Name, Logo, and Website

Name

Since 1991, we’ve been the Lilly Fellows Program, which included a national network of colleges and universities. But since the national network has grown and our offerings have expanded, we feel it is appropriate (and less confusing) to elevate the Network to our name. We’re a network that facilitates events, grants, prizes, and fellowships: The Lilly Network.

This change does not imply a deprioritization of our fellowships. In fact, we’ll still use the name “The Lilly Fellows Program” — sometimes adding, “by the Lilly Network” — to refer to them. Rather, it represents the context in which our fellowships have flourished for the past three decades: within the Lilly Network of Church-Related Colleges and Universities.

Logo

We’ve also refreshed our logo. It brings together an olive branch, representing the academy, and a head of wheat, representing the Church, in the shape of a flame, representing vocation.

With its careful proportions, straightforward symbolism, and elegant design, we expect it to represent us well for the next chapter of our work.

Website

Finally, we’re excited to welcome you to this new website, with improved mobile optimization, easier navigation, and a new look and feel.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll see additional resources and archives transferred. If you need non-transferred information sooner, or if you have thoughts about the new website, please contact us.
