ABOUT US

MISSION

The Lilly Network of Church-Related Colleges and Universities seeks to strengthen the quality and shape the character of church-related institutions of higher learning in the twenty-first century.

WHO WE ARE

Since its founding in 1991, the Lilly Network of Church-Related Colleges and Universities (formerly the Lilly Fellows Program) has fostered ongoing conversation about church-related higher learning and developed leaders in church-related colleges and universities. Network member schools represent a diversity of denominational traditions, institutional types, and geographical locations. The Network sponsors conferences and events, oversees three fellowship programs, and offers numerous grants for member schools.

The Lilly Network is based in Christ College, the interdisciplinary honors college of Valparaiso University in northwest Indiana, and is funded by Valparaiso University, by Member Institutions, and by grants from Lilly Endowment Inc., an Indianapolis-based private philanthropic foundation.

Conferences and Events

The Lilly Network hosts or funds multiple events for Member Institutions every year, including the annual Lilly Network Conference, Administrators Workshop, and more.

Fellowships

The Lilly Network offers fellowships that renew or enrich excellence and a sense of vocation for graduate students, for faculty, for administrators, and, through its prestigious residential fellowship, for postgraduates.

Grants

The Lilly Network offers grants for special projects for Network institutions. Awarded by the Network board, these projects are intended to advance the overall mission of the Network, and to increase the participation of Network institutions in the activities and formative experiences of the Network as a whole. These projects are held at Network colleges and universities and are organized by faculty and/or administrators from the host institutions. The Network also awards two biennial prizes: the Arlin G. Meyer Prize and the Lilly Network Book Award.
